S/EAR, 2014 (updated2018)

S/EAR is composed of 16 neon tubes powered by 16 different transformers. It is controlled by a Raspberry Pi and

a 16 channel mechanical relay board. Using sound frequency divided over 16 bands, it modulates each tube.

The neon form is a 3d cross contour model based on a mold taken from my right ear and scaled up 7x.
